The 2014 Golf wagon TDI sounds like a decent family vehicle on paper, is it any good? I have never owned a VW and some things concern me, will this car be reliable? Price seems to be steep for this car. What is beyond's take on the Golf wagon?

Why is that? Auto is a must have for me as the wife can't drive manual.

Full disclosure: I work for VW. Not sure why everyone is hating on the auto... if you had to get an auto the DSG automatic is near the top in the industry. That being said, you can never beat the feel of a manual (I have always driven manual).

We have just received the golf wagon Wolfsburg edition which is actually a very good value for the vehicle. You are getting things like nav, the panoramic sunroof, and leather in the car for cheaper than a highline is regularly (top trim).

If you have any questions or are interested in getting a VW just send me a pm.

As mentioned go for Wolfsburg edition, anything else is overpriced compared to it.

There's virtually 0 competition for this vehicle which is too bad because is a good alternative to the CUVs.

Love my TDI and I love the DSG. Zero issues with my 09 and Im at 190,000km.

Check out the TDI forum for any talk on the 14 and the DSG
