This is my attempt at a Toma'ish Article..

We must immediately shut down these horrific bird killers until the solar farms put bird cannons in place to warn off wildlife.

"Possible 'mega-trap' for wildlife"
Estimates per year now range from a low of about a thousand by BrightSource to 28,000 by an expert for the Center for Biological Diversity environmental group.

On the flip side, the coyote population has spiked dramatically in the area, though complaints have been lodged that the birds are a little under-seasoned.

Mmmm, pre-cooked ducks.

Carlsbad desalination will also probably have a huge environmental impact. Not only do you need coal power plants to power the thing, but you also are sucking in 50 million gallons per day from the ocean floor. Which will probably suck of several tons of fish and other organic material by the hour.

There are plenty of projects that have little to no environmental impact on paper, but then there are those nasty unintended consequences.

I wonder if anyone has put a thermometer a mile up in the air over that thing to see if it will instantly boil water.
