I developed one of Berserker's roll along this C-41 roll and turned out ok although the negative has some red cast.

Oh shit, so it did develop a blue cast! That's consistent with what few examples of xpro'd C41 I've seen. That's kinda cool.

Just a few shots from work recently.
Please feel free to critique, I'm just picking up a camera again after many years away from hobby photography. Lots to learn/re-learn.

I feel like photography these days is 50% in camera and 50% post, and I really don't know what I'm doing in post aside from adjusting the white balance a bit. If there are any lightroom experts here I'd gladly take a lesson in exchange for a case of beer sometime this winter.

It's been a while folks.... I got to spend an entire day on the beach in Tofino last week and was able to dust off the camera and fire off a few shots. Happened to be a wedding shoot going on that day too. Aside from resizing, there is no post processing on these. Basically straight off of the card.

I didn't "technically" take these shots, had a friend use my camera. Preset the shutter speed on shutter priority, wanted a few rollers of my bike before it hopefully sells..

hey derrick, this is 2 sec exposure with the expired kodak sheet film, $15 for 100 sheets, might as well use them for test print and it actually looks good, will buy the remaining 100 sheets

Haha that's why you need to make test strips! Let me know when you're free and I'll come over and see how you're doing things and give pointers.

I just checked and those lenses I'm giving back to you go down to f/45 so you'll be able to get 8s exposures, all things being equal.

i did do a test trips at 30s, 5s interval but it was always turning out black so i said, fuck it, ill do one sheet at a time and decrease in half every time :rofl:

will try enlarging with a 75W LED bulb this weekend though

$400 Leica 35mm Summicron quality lens that comes with body and AF, only caveat is the slow max shutter speed of 1/250th but that's why I like strapping red filter in it.

I think you're more likely to see colour shifts first when the kits start to go.

Thanks Kijho. It's not as sharp as I want but the f/4 is limiting as it's hard dealing with high-iso at night (quite grainy) and too long of exposure resulting in star trails. Excuse to get an astro-lens I think :rofl: No hard focus at infinity is a pain to deal with too. Eyeing up the new Nikon 20mm 1.8, or Rokinon 24mm 1.4 and 14mm 2.8.

After reading more on this (which I thought I initially knew about), it may be the lens and focusing properly at infinity but also some user error contributing to the non-sharp pinpoints. More practice needed I guess!

Side question, maybe we can start a discussion or perhaps we need to have a photog meetup soon and we can discuss this:: Who makes money / charges people for doing photos - essentially a "business" ? Have lots of questions about this.. I'm tossing the idea around about beginning to offer a service of automotive photos for a small fee to mostly cover gas expenses, but want to make sure I know all the legalities around it so I don't get in any trouble.
