Hey all, the new 2015 Land Rover Discovery was announced today.

Size wise, it fits between the Evoque and the Full Size and Sport, but doesn't bare the Range Rover name.

Pricing should be in the 40s to start, but you know how Canada is for pricing compared to the states. I like it and would consider changing our problematic '14 Escape Titanium for it.

Thoughts?

You really think a Land Rover will be less problematic then say.... ANYTHING?

Don't get me wrong. It looks pretty sweet for the price, but I would never own a Land Rover past the warranty period.

Looks awesome, but aren't Land Rovers a nightmare for maintenance & parts?

Then again if you're used to Escape reliability....haha.

All jokes aside it looks fantastic other than the 4cyl engine option seemingly being the only one. Would like to see a TT V6 or something in there. I just would never buy/lease one outside warranty.

This is the LR2 replacement not the LR4 replacement. That one is still to come!

Looks miles better than what it replaces and I like the looks of it a lot as their design language is very good.

I always assume the only people who drive those are some wealthy persons half-retarded child.

it hasn't really "replaced" the LR4...they've always been badged "Discovery" in Europe, so it's just bringing North America in line with the rest!

The LR2 is actually a Freelander, so a little bit smaller than the Discovery...this is the bigger one of the range
