Hi -
I have a set of stock rims for my 2004 Audi A4; we had a slow leak all of last winter that I was told is coming from the tire bead / seating surface, possibly due to corrosion.
I'm not looking to have the rims fully refinished for winter use, but wanted to know if a typical tire shop should be able to clean up the surface and get a good seal for new winter tires, or am I looking at a bigger job / replacement rims?
I know the answer is "it depends", but just looking for a sense of what should be possible short of machining.
Thanks,
Bryan
