Anyone know where they carry the new Pennzoil Ultra oils in the black bottles? Not the regular platinum in the silver.

Jiffy Lube carries all the types of Pennzoil. I get my Ultra Platinum.

It's a really good oil and it's a shame it's not more readily available especially when overpriced snake oil like Royal Purple is fairly easy to obtain.

I don't think it's snake oil, it's just that people are dumb.

How much does Ultra go for? I'm assuming these boutique oils never go on sale either.

Yes. Penzoil Ultra is one of the best oils you can buy bar none. It offers arguably the best protection of any oil to date and the only downside is that it does shear a little faster than some other good oils so I wouldn't use it for long intervals.

As long as you're changing your oil regularly you're not going to notice much of a difference between the brands. Just buy whatever is on sale.

I'm going to see if Autovalue can order some in for me. They readily sell it at Walmart in the states for uber cheap. I've been using the PP and it's been keeping things very clean and wear down low on an older motor, so i'm eager to try the Ultra and run some tests with Blackstone.

You have it in bottles? Mind PMing me on price, thanks!

Tried Auto Value, Partssource, and Napa and was basically told no dice, not even special order. :nut: May have to do a Montana grocery run and pick up some jugs at the wallymart.

Not true. Certain vehicles require different weights and require different compounds to work properly.

Meh if you want to go non-energy conserving German Castrol is just as good and cheaper than those oils. Most of the Motul oils we get here are energy conserving and Pennzoil Ultra is the best energy conserving oil you can get ATM.

Decided i'm just going to get a few cases of Ultra off Amazon and send it to Sweetgrass to pick up along with a wallyworld run. I'll bring back some extra to sell here to help split some of the costs.

What does weight have to do with the brand? The difference between Mobil 1, Pennzoil and Castrol is going to be minimal for the guy doing his oil every 5k
