After viewing several other Beyonder's threads who had used Richard(InRich) and being unable to get a landscaper out to do our front and back yard we decided to do the exterior of our home this year instead and would be using Richard's company Legacy Exteriors to do it.

Richard was very professional and serious about the quality of work his crews do, his explanation of what will happen to the home during the process and his recommendations were very thorough and detailed, he also addressed any concerns or changes we had as the project went on and we found his pricing to be very good for the quality of work his men did.
We opted to replace the fascia, eavestrough/downspouts, and soffit on top of the painting. The crew that did the sheet metal were fast and efficient and the new sheet metal and eavestrough/downspouts looked better and works wonders over the old stuff. After the weather cleared up his painters arrived to do the coating, something to take note of is that these guys don't know what a weekend is, most of the work for both crews started on a weekend opposed to a weekday although they work both weather permitting. Both crews were easy to get along with, particularly the painters whom after we changed our mind on one of the colors that had already been applied, made no fuss about changing it to a different one. The finished product on the house and garage looked a worlds difference better than the old stuff, any damaged or missing stucco was replaced and repaired before they coated. I only wish I had them do all the windows in the beginning opposed to just the 2 in the front that Richard gave us as they looked amazing at the end.

Overall our experience with Richard and his company was fantastic and we will definitely be using Legacy Exteriors again down the road when we renovate or have any other exterior work.

Sheet metal cost: $5XXX
Coating/Painting cost: $71XX

Stucco Color: Anchor
Wood trim on front and front door: Obsidian
Exterior doors including garage main door: Ebony

Before:
These pictures were taken after they had removed the soffit, fascia, and eavestrough/downspouts.

Looks good. What's the plan with the deck? Paint? What about the stone on the deck?

The deck and landscaping for the front comes next year, we were just going to go with a charcoal colored faux stone on the pillars from top to bottom and probably paint the deck the same color as the wood trim on the front but we are still looking around at different ideas for it.

Nice review, awesome results. I've had faith in InRich since his garage heater days.

Looks good.

Keep in mind, real estate agents preach that a blue house takes longer to sell. Not an issue right now but keep in mind on a down turn.

Is that blue? Looks greyish in some of the pictures as well.

I've always heard this too. I don't mind it though. Looks good. Does it stand out from all your neighbors? I bet there's not a colored house on the block?

It looks mostly like the 2nd last picture although it does lighten up a bit in sunlight.

Yeah although there a few grey homes around the block most of them are beige, brown, or white.

Why didn't they bondo that dent before painting? There's a guy that a lot of the builders use and he always fills any dents before painting. A lot of new doors get dented during construction, and it's almost standard to fill and paint before they turn it over to occupancy.

I forgot to mention it in the initial meeting unfortunately.

No clue. Personal preference? This is just what they say based on time it takes places to sell.

I guess people want a neutral color? Don't want to stand out?

Bondo can't be used on a metal house door? Why's that? Just curious because cars go through a lot more turmoil, and it works pretty well on them.

I think if it came down to two identical or close to it houses, people chose the neutral colored one first.

Get TomCo out to PDR the door, lol.

I know that. All the doors I'm talking about are metal. The guys name is Eduardo and he fills all dents, dings even small holes with an epoxy or bondo type filler (looks and smells like bondo, I assumed it is bondo as auto shops use it without issue) then uses some lacquer based paint. He'll do 2 or 3 doors a day.

I think fiberglass filler would work better. More flexible and accepting of weather.
