Wow this farming is really stressing me out. So we planted about 40 poplar hybrid clones, for privacy issues. Some of these trees are growing well, to three feet, others are having a very hard go. First it was the deer eating them, now it's the grasshoppers as they have no other food supply. What spray (or anything) can I use to keep these pests away from the trees so they can have a fighting chance? They were just planted this spring.

Would crickets eat or kill grasshoppers? If so just get some crickets to kill the grasshoppers.

Spary them with soap water see if that works to kill them.

might be a bit late in the year for pesticides. we used something similar to this at the farm one year and had good luck;

Thanks Roll_Over, I found they have a dealer quite close to me in sask. So I'll pick up some next time I'm down, thanks again
