Figure I'll ask here...

Having a bit of difficulty moving out of my 'industry' - I guess self employed seems to get treated as unemployed by HR folks these days? or at least that's the impression I get by the questions they ask... So 5years of it on a resume doesn't appear to be looked well upon...

Anyone have some job leads not on workopolis etc? Calgary or McMurray camps works at the moment. (Yes have FA, H2S, AWP, Fall protection, OSSA, CSTS)

Pretty much looking to get some more non-industry specific experience in construction. Can go field or office, have 6yrs doing administration, estimating etc - but running a telehandler or some other grunt job sounds good too :)

Do you have a degree or a trade?

If you don't, good luck being placed anywhere higher than a labourer. They are filling camp flight coordinator positions with people with masters degrees these days...
