Hot Tub Service Guy

So my second pump decided not to work anymore. Looking for a good service repair guy that can help me replace my pump. Any recommendations or people you know that may help.

It is a Arctic Spa and don’t really want to call Paradise. Like bringing your car into the stealership and prices out of this world.

The pump was quoted $550 however found the same pump for half the price.

Please let me know if you know of anyone that does services for spas.

hoping to have this replace before the snow starts to fall.

Do it yourself. If you found the pump for 275 just do it on you own and save cash. I've done a bunch for friends/relatives/customers.

If you want to send me model number on pump I can check wholesale pricing for you as well.

Thanks Loweg, The pump is a Executive 56. Am I safe to say that the diameter of the inlet and outlets pretty standard.

I would like to try to do it my self however I want to make sure its done correctly so it does not leak during winter season.

It's really easy. I've rebuilt a couple wet ends, done a heater coil, and the only bad part is access because it's built into a deck.

:werd: If you don't have a foam filled tub, it's super easy to do anything in there, especially with a quality tub that has shut-off valves every to replace parts with minimal water loss... so long as it isn't -30* anyways :rofl:

I had to replace the electrode cell (wearable part in a bromine system) in -30 last year, holy fuck were the lines ever stiff in that cold.

I work on my own as well. I get all my stuff online or from western pump, they have pretty good prices and they have almost any part.

Does anyone know if there is a "hot tub revitalization" service, for lack of a better term.

A friend of mine is looking to have someone come over an fix some jets, give everything a good clean, switch over to salt water system, and replace some old cushions. Basically just breathe a bunch of new life into an otherwise perfectly good hot tub.

Seems like there would be a market for that, especially for people with tubs built indoors or into the deck where it would be a huge pain to get a whole new tub.

I did one on my Arctic last year. Bit tricky getting it out, but only had to replace the impeller and the seal. Impeller was $40. Seal $50. And that was from Paradise.
