I've heard Rage2's c63amg once downtown but this c63AMG compare to his :banghead::banghead:. i thought the exhaust on my minivan fell off when i first heard him coming. plate number: EHEMGEE

That's what it sounds like with headers and full exhaust. It's ridiculously loud. I think the dashcam audio isn't the greatest but it sounds not bad in real life, very much like the AMG safety cars at F1 events.

Agency Power headers + midpipes on stock AMG exhaust with resonator and mufflers intact.

I have an akrapovic exhaust sitting at the shop that would quiet it down. Not sure if I should install it or not.

The only reason I was so loud is because I was riding out my gears in manual mode... Those are 6K shifts :)

In comfort mode shifting at 2k you wouldn't even know.

Sorry, the headers just went in, I've been enjoying them a bit.

I do have an exhaust at the shop that will quiet it down, but I kind of like how loud it is.

it sounds awesome when you accelerate, just not when you're downshifting, i would hate to slow down beside you with windows down. i was expecting a 0-100 dash from that light haha. see you around man!

High tech? It's a DOHC V8 that revvs to 7200, it's not an E92 M3! The C63 is a German muscle car.

Listen to a stock C63, they are still amazingly loud compared to other German cars. And damn nasty too.


My feeling is the 63 cars were designed for middle aged men to be able to have a loud, powerful car like they had as kids (because they probably had a stang/camaro/vette/etc), but also have a touch of luxury.

I was contemplating a x pipe and resonator delete on my c63 but then I changed my mind due the fear of it becoming too loud and voiding my warranty. Not sure, maybe down the line I'll think of something.

An x pipe would calm it down from what I have (my mids are straight, no crossover), and give you a bit more low end torque.

I'm still under warranty too, but I'm not too concerned.

I deff wouldn't want to go too loud but a little louder than what it is right now wouldn't hurt. I don't want to lose the AMG growl and the backfiring it does once in a while. Wish I could have more of that lol. The main reason I decided against screwing up with the exhaust was cause of the fear of messing up as I don't exactly know what I should be deleting and what pipe I should be replacing what with lol.

Replace the secondary cats with an x pipe. It will be a bit louder, and a bit more nasty.

You only get to this level of loud with long tube headers.

Do you guys have an Hpipe option for the c63? Xpipes have a raspy type problem with even mustangs. Hpipe really gives it a nice mean sound though.

It all depends on taste..I love my x-pipe. Rasp also comes down to muffler selection and a whole bunch of other factors to do with the engine. I think this C63 has the potential to sound really cool, it just needs to be smoothed out a little more. Maybe the akrapovic exhaust would help. Aren't those ridiculously expensive though?

They aren't cheap. Having my job has its benefits.

I'm gonna test the akrapovic, if I don't like it I will go back to AMG mufflers.

It's impossible you heard it yesterday. It has akrapovic on it now (Since weds and didn't drive Monday or Tuesday) and isn't loud. Same volume as stock but deeper.

It sure is a different exhaust. Notice the square titanium tips? Those aren't stock. They sound literally nothing like stock AMG exhaust, or stock + headers. Very deep with a nice growl. Not super loud.

:thumbsup: Having nice things and getting hated has been the classic combo since forever. These guys can deny all day long they're not a little jelly :poosie: but in the end we all know the truth. It is loud and pretty raspy but 40whp gain is no joke so its not like he's doing it just to make his car as loud as possible like a lot of the ricer shit out there.
