At first I thought the same but I think he starts out in a Formula Renault 3.5 then at the end he spins out in what looks like a mid-2000s F1 car, it sounds detuned.

Right, didn't even look at the picture, just thought Russia went all racist lol.

There is no India race this year btw. That's what happens when the country gets greedy.

Marussia maybe running 1 car this weekend out of respect for Jules:

MARUSSIA will run only Max Chilton throughout the inaugural Russian Grand Prix weekend out of respect for the critically injured Jules Bianchi, it is understood.

The Banbury-based marque have made American reserve Alexander Rossi eligible for the race as a potential replacement for Bianchi.

At present the name of Jules Bianchi hangs over the Marussia garage at the Sochi Autodrom, and the second car is being prepared.

But with the Frenchman’s life hanging in the balance following brain surgery in the wake of his frightening accident in Sunday’s Japanese Grand Prix, Marussia will only send out young Briton Chilton.

No penalty or sanction will be applied.

The decision regarding running one car is based with Bianchi’s parents in mind, with Philippe and Christine currently at their son’s bedside at the Mie General Medical Centre in Yokkaichi.

Looks like Lewis has this thing in the bag barring reliability problems. He's easily got .300-.500s/lap on Nico and set his fastest time in Q2. Button did well to get fourth and depending on tires and pits has an outside chance against Bottas. The story of qualifying might have been Seb though.

Remember that turn 1 is flat, it's over 1km from the grid to turn 2. I'd say whoever has pole will be disadvantaged here.

Unbelievable that Nico did that on one set of tires. Most exciting pass was JEV's early in the race, and the rest was kinda dull without tire degradation.

Should be a good race next year on the proper tires. Fucking cars EVERYWHERE on the first lap. Super entertaining.

Lol.

I thought it was bit of a sleeper. The best part was the awkward Putin moments after the race.

He sure milked as much PR exposure as he could out of it, didn't he.

No doubt. Why was he even in there lol?

I almost turned into a Hamilton fan when he didn't shake Putins hand, but he caved in at the end. (Caved = fixing his hair before too many cameras got a shot of his helmet hair and then shaking his hand.)

He was there to hand out the winners trophy. Love him or hate him, the F1 race is Russia is his baby.
