Hey guys,

Bought a new microwave for the wife which is bigger than the previous one, and whoever built my kitchen put the plug dead center of the opening, automatically adding at least 2 more inches to the microwave depth since the cord is still just a standard straight out design. I am looking for an adapter like this locally. I need this by Thursday at the latest. Anyone know where I can find it locally for sure?

I've seen that item at lowes. I *might* have seen one at home depot as well.

I needed the same thing and couldn't find a short one. Had to go with what Home Depot calls a "air conditioner cord", it's 6', but I cut mine down to a more appropriate size.

Was it this short type that you seen? Lowes is a bit far away from me so don't want to drive there if it isn't the short kind.

I looked at Home Depot, rona and Canadian tire online and I see a lot of extension cords, but really don't want to shove an extension cord back there if I can help it. Canadian tire has a 3 foot one so that's the closest thing so far.

I found something similar for my tv behind the wall mount, try checking the av section of stores.

Also got mine at same Canadian Tire as Rocket1k78 - coffee maker we recently purchased had a ridiculously short cord (safety feature apparently) - then one we purchased was like the one below except white (quite expensive for what you get). Could've got a regular extension cord but didn't want 6 feet of cord bundled up in behind the microwave on the counter top...

Cool heading over to Canadian tire tonight to take a look. Can't seem to find them on their page, or not looking correctly. Thanks!

Are they in the general electrical/extension cord area?

Damnit. I wish I had asked on Beyond before I hacked up the 6' one from HD. I checked C.T. online for it too.

I really don't understand why the hell appliances that are typically left plugged in all the time don't come WITH 90* plugs.
