Hope it wasn't the one with that wicked V8 swap I saw at the track years back when it was still open

Gents,
This would be my car. Fully built and stroked 383 LS swap.
hard to tell what happened since the fire took out mostly everything, looks like a fuel line might have broken though

Well that breaks my heart. Fuck sorry to hear man, especially about the 383 swap. I wouldn't care if it was the rotary, but that's a sad waste of an LS. Hopefully you have full coverage on it. Sad to see a nice fun car go to waste :(

The rear end is all good still (rear tire/wheels, Ford Cobra IRS 8.8 built rear end, DSS axles). Full dual 3" exhaust is ok. I assume the T56 6spd tranny and the custom aluminum driveshaft are still good too. Rear Diffuser looks ok
Don't know about the engine, headers looked ok still. would have to check all internals to see if rockers and valves/crank/pistons/rods are all still good. Don't know if the heat would have caused any damage in there

^let me know if you want to part with the tranny and rear end, I'd be happy to buy it off you

I'll definitely keep that in mind sir. Need to get Insurance dealt with first and see what my buy back option is on the car. I've already been told the car is a complete write off though that's not really any surprise. Hopefully I'll know what's happening within the next week.
I might also add that the whole rear end is essentially brand new. I just put it in last winter and has about 500km on it. Just broken in! Brand new Tru-Trac LSD and Ford Racing 3.73 gears. All new bearings and seals for the full rebuild.

Thanks guys, most important thing I'm keeping in mind is that I got out without a scratch. At the end of the day it's just a car. But ya, it still puts a sick feeling in my gut knowing all that work went up in smoke

rip dude..sounds like a wicked car. Hope you can resurrect the beast. Glad you came out unscathed. Put a fire extinguisher inside just in case.
