I currently have the Logitech Z906 5.1 Channel THX Speaker System, which has the following specs:

Total watts (RMS): 500 W
Subwoofer : 165 W
Satellites: 5 x 67 W
THX® Certified: Yes
Dolby Digital 5.1 decoding: Yes
DTS decoding: Yes
3D Stereo (Surround sound from 2-channel sources)

Digital optical inputs 2
Digital coaxial input 1
Six-channel direct input Yes
RCA input Yes
3.5 mm input 1
Control console Stackable
Satellites 4, wall mountable
Center channel speaker 1, wall mountable
Subwoofer Ported, side-firing

I'm thinking that a more dedicated Home Theatre setup would probably be better than the above mentioned setup. But wondering what your thoughts are and if you have any home theatre system suggestions.

This is a very vague question because you need to specify what you're after in terms of sound. Are you happy with current set up? if not than what don't you like?

Home theater equipment can cost you next to nothing or cost more than luxury cars. Tell us the specs of your room, budget and what you're after and im sure someone can piece together a set up for you.

To kinda answer your question, yes a dedicated system will be better than your set up but it will also cost you more too.
