It's a small parking lot, I think it's like 6 or 7 spots and look at this!! 3 cars parked there like each has an invisible smart car parked in front of them?! I think it should be legal for us to slash peoples tires like when they park like this :poosie:

After I sold my Crown Vic, it took me a couple weeks to stop leaving a mile in front of me while parking as I was so used to the super long front end.

On the other extreme, I see people's bumpers scrapped to shit at the bottom, move forward until there is resistance eh?

I couldn't figure out what this guy was trying to do taking 2 spots, other than be a complete douchebag.

I am also on the side of who gives a shit. They aren't taking up any extra spots. We don't live in europe, no double parking.

I never pull anywhere close to the block as i know my lip wont clear. Those are a bit extreme but again they aren't hurting anyone... Whats the problem if they want to get in and out a bit quicker?

Considering slashing someones tires for something that does affect you

The white Merc actually blocked in another vehicle to it's right. This car is sandwiched between the Merc's terrible park job and the building :P

If that Merc is blocking the spot then that's more of a problem with parking lot design. He is exactly in line with the sport and 50% in it.

Par for the course to an extent. People just DGAF. That minivan is ridiculous though..there is no way that's an accident. I commend guy's in duallys who can someone fit in a normal parking stall (barely..but still.) I see a lot of truck owners who just pull in (I'm guessing that they don't go wide enough) and leave the truck parked with the wheels all cranked into the next stall.

The solution? Shaming. Dickhead at my Condo left his Saturn in our 20 minute loading zone for 3 days straight recently. So I wrote a hilarious note with a cartoon in big letters so that anyone walking by could read it. "Hey Saturn boy, stop parking your POS in our loading zone. This is your friendly warning" (with a big smiley face waving.) I waited to see if he would come out but sadly he didn't when I posted it on his windshield. Anyhow, couple hours later and Saturn is gone. He hasn't parked in the loading zone since. :hitit:

I bet they park that far back because if they park all the way up some idiots will park behind them because the lot is so small and nowhere else to park.

You're probably right based on those pictures. Those are some poorly designed lots. Looks like a recipe to get boxed in.

My first impression as well, plus the fact there is a political office in the area, both leading to general dumbing down of the situation.

Sometimes I end up doing this too... My parking sensors don't trip when I'm close, and since I drive so many different vehicles every day I just play it safe.

More like I am not willing to take the risk of ripping my bumper off so I play it safe.

I am sure you don't drive up until it bumps on your M3 haha.

My sensors actually do a reasonable job of seeing the curb on level ground though :dunno:

I hope nobody sees me parking my BS. I'm typically really far from the curb, front or side. That front lip is too rich for my blood to replace, and can't even clear the lowest of curbs.

I know how when it's my cars, but when it's a random new bmw/Audi/merc I play it safe since I don't know how long the car is in relativity to mine. Especially when I will only be driving it once out of the shop bay and into a parking stall.

I play it safe so I get to take home a full paycheck.

If you have switched from a car with a long front end (like an older longitudinal V8), sometimes you park like an idiot for a while. It's the human condition, no?

I personally have issues parking SUV's/Trucks, because I have never driven them, so I tend to swing wide, or avoid tight parking.

There is underground parking open to the public where the OP was.

You just pull up to the doors during operating hours and you can park underground.

As odd as it is, there are valid reasons why people park like that. It's much harder to think of reason why someone parks right beside you, when you parked 10 stalls away from everyone.

Well, I might have a theory on that. It's their way of saying,"I don't want my car dinged either, so we're cool together".

BTW. Modelexis's new sig:

"Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners."

That said, I do always check and if its not acceptable I'll fix it.
