Ya the ecoboost isn't really something I'd consider personally. That's going to be a good market for the import crowd, younger kids not wanting the genesis or whatever... If I were to go buy a new mustang it'd have to be the 5.0 no question about it.

One thing I am looking forward to with this guy coming out is the aftermarket stuff they'll produce for the ecoboost engines... They NEED fuel upgrades for the ecoboost engines!

They should have you're right. That would of opened up a world of modding potential. It's already a stout motor in the f150s.

I think the direction they took was trying to bring back the SVO styling. Unfortunately not in as light of a product as the fox body was back in the day.

COBB already has their hands on a new ecoboost so I imagine with the right aftermarket products it'll prove to be a good platform to work with

The issue with the 3.5TT is the packaging size in the Mustang.

TT in any Mustang requires a lot of piping, bends etc. Cost becomes prohibitive at a factory level. I wouldnt' rule out TT applications for future performance models though.

If they can make it fit in the Taurus, I don't think the mustang would be that far of a stretch. It would cut into 5.0 sales and that is likely the reason.
