I'm buying a used 3-spoke GLI wheel and would like to get it recovered in black Alcantara - does any know where I can get this done?

I have been calling shops all week trying to find something as well. I'm going to start calling biker leather workers like Conties. But none of the leather repair guys do this.

I picked up some fabric to do a headliner last week from Chinook Upholstery...looks like their shop would be able to handle it if you haven't checked with them already?

A headliner is a little different from a steering wheel.

I'd be interested if they can pad the wheel up when they re-wrap it?

i'd just give it a go, here is a decent write up, lacking the type of stitch to use though, but im sure that would be easy enough to find

Haha!! Wait, you figure they're different? :nut:

My comment was purely based on pics on the walls and seeing vehicles while walking through the back to grab the fabric I was going to use to redo my headliner.

It looked like they would have the ability to do it. But it's purely speculation until someone actually phones them and asks.

I could not find anyone local to do my steering wheel. I ended up sending it to Dallas Custom Steering Wheel.

They added 1/8" padding, thumb grips, centering stripe, re-wrapped in alcantara/perforated leather, custom stitching, etc.

That looks really good. I wish there was someone that could do that locally.
