I've always had good experience with my low yellow fogs on my GC with main headlights on in those types of blizzards. It's hard to see but you're able to see "beyond" the snow almost and see the road ahead a bit.

I put in yellow hid in my projector fog lights on my suv plus aimed them properly. It was a life saver during the night time blizzards from gp to edm

A few buddies of mine in gp use the led light bars installed in the lower grill and use interchangeable covers yellow or blue pending on conditions

An interesting setup, have you had luck with it? I always thought that white light wasn't that good for snow, and that spot lights just tend to reflect back in your face.

That said I've had luck with my old 100w Xenophot lamps (similar to light force) in the past, but my KC 130w halogens are terrible for snow. The one nice thing about the 130w halogens is that they get so hot ice won't stick to them... so in freezing rain, while my other head lights and fogs get 1" of ice on them, I can still see thanks to the KC's.

Also, those cheap "Blazer" fogs from Canadian Tire have gotten me home a few times... just turned off my head lamps and used those instead, they seem to cut through thick snow. Not ideal, but if you are on a budget you can make due.

Daniel Stern has a good write up on in. Basically boils down to blue being a poor choice since it increases glare, is hard for the eyes to interpret and light output is reduced. Yellow light offers the impression of an improvement due to the way our eyes interpret light, if the fog/snow/rain particles were smaller than the wavelength of the yellow light, then they would offer a true benefit.

I hated my KC lights for road driving since they were mounted too high. Even my current Rigid bars are too high off the ground so I'll be moving them down lower.

I have the Light Force 240's, and have the HID upgrade done to them as well. I have a few lenses but mostly leave the yellow spots on full time. I haven't had the chance to drive in a massive snowstorm with them but would like to just to see how the yellow and blue filters compare. Looking at grabbing a set of the orange filters too. Here's a couple of output shots taken in succession with the clear/yellow/blue spot covers on. You'll notice the blue really kills the overall light output.

If it was me, and those were for snow driving only, I'd aim them lower and use the yellow lens for sure.

I use them mostly for driving where there are no other lights, they're aimed to be above my HID headlights cutoff. Takes 5 seconds to adjust the level, and like I said, I have yet to use them in heavy snow. Here's the headlights for a head to head though:

White or yellow only. I had blue lights on one of my cars once. First snow storm they were gone. The glare was horrible. I was able to see more with just my park lamps than the head lamps.

I've found that since I got my HID projectors with the sharp cutoff, it works really well. Clem posted a good article on the thread last year when I was asking about upgrading my fogs.

this could be the winter i finally install some foglights on the rsx. I shall check back to this thread to see what most beyonders are using before I choose a kit.

Yellow is probably your best bet. they cut through snow/fog better. blue might work, but you'll probably get hassled by the cops.
