What software makes something like this?
And what do you even call this thing? I tried looking up cross reference table in google and it doesn't come up with anything like this

Thanks but note how the worded cells meet at opposite corners of its own cross reference cell. If you can show me how to do that in excel...

If you just have to make one then I'd use illustrator. You can copy and paste from Excel and Illustrator will build the table out of paths for you. Quite handy. Use the 45 degree orientation option from the video above and then draw in the paths for the diagonal headers like you want them.

You could accomplish this in excel but it will be a lot of work.

I was thinking probably that, but more primative with my awesome MSpaint skills

two layers in favorite image editor?

One layer has table with figures, the other a table with headers. Turn headers at 45 degrees and align under the figures table.

Would probably work alright.

I'm better at excel than I am with image editors...and I rarely use Excel.

I would check out Smartdraw. It may have the functions you need to automate this but i haven't looked into it.

Finally got this installed. I have no clue how this software works... FML
