These tread types seem to be inspiring to fellow enthusiasts, and at times end up as mini competitions between members.
That extra bit of egging on, if you will.

Drove in the snow this AM, and did some testing in the local Home Depot lot long before they opened.
With this, I came home, found I get a discount at Steeda.com on Fusion parts (only) until Nov 11!
So? Steeda strut tower brace is on order! :)

That makes 2 things in the mail this week: Weathertech and Steeda.

No plans other than wheels next year that are on order and maybe coil overs.

Filled my tires. TPMS went off. Had 26/26/26/28 psi on the tires. No plans for winter really.

EDIT: Apparently I'm not allowed in this thread. :( // No FiSFE love.

LOL...that's classic. My wife woulda skinned me, taped me to the garage door and thrown a bucket of water over me at -25* if I'd pulled that off....awesome!

This waiting for mail order's killing my patience...sure hope the Steeda product arrives during the next week, whilst things are relatively warm!

Well it's all installed minus rear motor mount. I'll do it maybe tonight or when I have more time. Exhaust is really quiet at idle but really wakes up under boost, its nice. Little bit loud around 130 but it's pretty quiet at 110 so I guess I won't speed as much.

It pulls quite a bit better, especially in the higher gears on the highway. Fuel economy went down quiet a bit but I think that's mostly due to playing a lot more and going into boost more to play with the exhaust.

Downpipe was the longest part of the install, stupid heat shields and getting it out of there was a PITA. Otherwise everything was pretty straight forward and easy.

Full cobb stage 3 kit. Intake / Intercooler and piping / Downpipe / Catback / And off the shelf 93 octane tune

Your mpg will get better the more you run the tune, also shoot stratified a message and get one of their OTS maps For $60 you'll get FFS and launch control and they can tweak it a tiny bit before going to a full tune

Is there much difference between their OTS and Cobb's? Or is it just for the flat foot shifting and launch?

I haven't honestly looked yet. I was working on the car until around 10 (no garage and no lamps lol... fucking iphone light the entire time) and then up early this morning for a few more hours to finish up. I just dumped in the tune and had to leave for work. Going to look more into it tonight

Also switched over to the summers with new tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3) with new work centercaps for this season. Really liking the A/S 3's compared to the Conti DWS I had last year. I have tried everything on my Energy swaybar bushings over the years. Only one thing works for me -- clean off all the lube and run them dry. No squeaks, and the wear actually went down, since they weren't getting grit stuck in the grease/lube/teflon/anti-sieze.

Honestly we all know that intakes don't make power on turbocharged engines so it's more about changing up the looks of the engine bay. I hated all the plastic and this cast aluminum piece breaks up the dearth of black plastic surrounding the engine and that intake piece is a piece of cheap and ugly plastic. The sound is a little louder with the filter and cast aluminum not insulating sound like plastic. For most people it's probably a waste of money as there's really no performance gains but I'm okay with that.
