I need a video card and sound card, in either PCI-E or PCI-X format.

The retail prices for these at memory-express and Best buy are around $50 - Far more than I want to spend on this.

Looking for older, unwanted cards... I know these things accumulate in bins after upgrades... Hoping to spend $10 each.

Don't want to do Kijiji, due to time investment/running around required.

Just looking to go to some place that used parts I can buy.

Any such place?

Electronic Recycling Association (link (https://www.era.ca/)) - 1301 34th Avenue SE , 403.262.4488..

Call them as they always have way more stuff then they list on their web site - a sampling of what they have for sale is here (https://greencomputers.era.ca/).

When you visit, be nice and they might take you to the back where the bins are - lots of stuff in those bins and they're quite open to haggling on anything they have in the bins.

vfxweb also has really really old stuff if you need to pick a part for an old system.

I'd avoid that Mickey Mouse operation as best as I could, nothing but a headache dealing with those goofs!

yeah, avoid ERA, they're horrible, and have zero business ethics, they tell companies their stuff will be recycled, but then they resell it or ship it off to china.

I use Technotrash for recycling at work, i know that does not help for this situation, but they will recycle it properly, disassemble and crush it and then separate the materials
