Gentlemen, I have a problem. I have to many shoes for my front closet and 90% remain stored in their box stacked on each other. I have no idea where to start even looking for functional shoe racks. I don't want any of the cheap rod variety and would ideally like to keep them in original box. If not in original box I want something where wet shoes do not drip onto others.
And I don't want bedroom closet storage either.

Where does everyone keep their KICKS?

I haven't even bought shoes in a while because I don't know where to put them.

Pictures would be great.!

california closets could probably build you a custom storage area for your shoes.

There are many custom closet stores in Calgary. Although i have a custom closet from californiaclosets (wouldnt be my first choice, just from my lone experience with them). But I did get shoe storage from them, 4 shelves that are angled. Every other place I looked at offered the same sort of setup I have.

They sell wire shelves and brackets to angle mount on standards at lowes. Easy to install and pretty cost effective.

I bought these 5 tier racks from Rona awhile back. Straight and simple. They fit 9 standard boxes per tier and if you have a 9 ft ceiling, you can push the top shelf to 12 pairs.

Here was my set up for a bit.

You can buy them online.

That's insane... whats the draw in collecting shoes? I guess like anything personal interest.. But do they gain value? I'd assume there is lots of rare pairs out there/special editions?

That's kinda cool haha

Is that in your house? That looks like you took a picture of the back of a foot locker or something lol. But i guess if you have that many shoes, looks like a good solution.

It's not the reason why I used to collect, but yes, that's a side benefit. Lot's of pairs, depending on age/model/brand/rarity even color, increase in value overtime. My highest valued pair at the moment is about $1000 from $130 retail. Some pairs out there are worth alot more than that.

It's my parents basement before moving out. I've sold about half my stuff already.
