So I've been doing some thinking on how I want to develop my basement, not much space, about 600 sq ft including laundry area, a 2 piece bathroom and potentially a small bedroom....and I came upon this pic and I think the wall look awesome!!

Since I don't have money to use real bricks and wood, I want to use wall paneling, and as long as it doesn't look too fake/tacky, I think it could turn out just as well....
So I'm asking any tips, insulation is already in, I figure the basic steps after getting my permit are:
1. get my electrician friend to hook up the outlets where I want them
2. install drywall (forget about taping/mudding since I won't be painting over it or anything)
3. nail the panels in, I assume there are types that go on exactly the way I did the vinyl siding for my garage?!?
