In my basement in my new house, they must have gotten a professional to do 80% of it and did the other bit themselves.

The taping/mudding and the frames around the windows look like shit.

I'm wondering if this can be fixed without removing all the drywall, can anyone help?

Why would you have to be responsible to redo work on a new house?

Was it a new build, or new house as in new to you and the previous owners screwed it up?

Put up a picture, if they just screwed up the taping and mudding, the drywall shouldn't need to come down. Just have to mud and sand it until it looks good, prime and paint. Frames as in the window/door trim? That pops off, fix drywall, put trim back on properly, fill nail holes, sand, paint or stain.

Ya maybe I should explain. It's a new to me house. I bought it like that knowing that the walls look a little fucked up. The window trim isn't what I'm talking about I'm talking about the frame around the window.

The job was done poorly, but I'm not aure if it's fixable, I hate drywall I try and stay away from it as much as possible.

Is the window installed properly? Maybe condensation or water is causing issues?

If it's a crap mud job, scrape it down level with a sharp putty knife and start levelling it up.

The window is installed right, bit the box frame around it isn't on right. It's hard to see any of the issues unless you run a flashlight down the walls.

Pics would help a lot.

But my guess is pop all the wood off, trying to save it.
Redo drywall mud and reinstall it all.

Ya I don't have pics I'm out working til the 18th but ya, I might have to get a drywall guy in to look at it.

What's the issue with the drywall? Ridges? Humps?

If some DIYer did the tape & mud, it's likely the butt joints are not feathered out properly... it's pretty hard to screw up the taped joints... but the butt joints are an entirely different story.

It can be fixed though, as long as the tape isn't sitting on a pile of mud underneath the top layers. 10-12" taping knife and some mud and feather out each side from the centre of the joint... if that's the issue, of course.

Pictures are good in this case!
