I can't disagree. The only reason to show that movie in place of The Interview would be to antagonize the situation, which would accomplish nothing but more political/terrorist backlash.

Do I think they should give in to demands to pull The Interview? No, because I really want to see it...but if it means people get blown up in a movie theater I guess I can rent Rage 2 or something until it's leaked to the internet.

Depends how much money this movie makes. It'll need 8 million digital purchases, or 24 million digital rentals just to break even. No movie have ever made those numbers, but without a theatrical release, it's possible. You want to support this model? Better do so with your wallet.

Watched it last night of Usenet....not a movie to watch with your old folks on Christmas eve haha. The best part was right in the beginning with Eminem. If you stop your brain, it's kind of funny, but way too much unnecessary profanity and sexual references to try to make it funny.

Anyone find it funny that it's released on Xbox Video....and not on PlayStation....probably didn't want another playstation network outage :)

2.9m in limited theatrical release, 15m in online, so around 18m so far. 16% of budget recouped. It needs about 110m in sales to recoup filming, marketing, and revenue share costs.

I'd love for this business model to work, and I've supported it by renting it and purchasing it.

It's finally out on iTunes/AppleTV. It's the only version with a 5.1 soundtrack.

Edit - looks like Google play got updated with the 5.1 version as well.
