my uncles computer is messed and I need to fix it asap.....

Currently running WinXP:

I turn the PC on.....windows loads, I get to a point where the desktop has loaded, mouse is functional, desktop icons are visible, start bar is there.
Then like 1 second AFTER Norton firewall starts up the pc automatically shuts down.
It boots up fine in safe mode......

going over to try and fix it right now but any help would be appreciated

I think what I have to do is disable the "restart on critical error" option and then be able to read the blue screen codes?? is that correct?

i'll post up in a bit if I can't fix this shit

yes, do that. if its some sort of memory error, u probably have cooling issues.
