The never-ending search prevails!!!

... anyone have any locations around the area for shooting on crown land?
I know a few areas in the Edmonton area, but am lost for Calgary (doesn't make much sense i know being Calgarian :dunno: ).

But any insight would be greatly appreciated!

... mostly shoot trap and skeet, and have no membership to any ranges as of yet.
.. on that note, a beyond skeet shooting day should happen sometime in the new year!! :bigpimp:

Most of the land around the sibbald flats homestead range is kosher.

But then again you can also just use the range.

There should be a map on there. CGN might know more.

I'd be down for a skeet day. They make reactive targets for skeet now too:D

Mcleans usually got lots of rec vehicle/campers around though, at least that's been my experience

There are lots of good places at Mclean to shoot. You just have to do a bit of research around where trails are going, and people usually camp.

Burnt timber is pretty good, same idea as Mclean/waiparous just have to watch for ATV's, etc

mclean is the place to go i find. But you reaaaally have to be careful there, lots of trails and you need to know where you are shooting against. I have a little hidey hole that I park my car and hike in about 10 minutes with my shooting gear. There there I have ~300 yards clear cut and shooting up against a hill. The only trails that exist are behind us there.
