I recall a few threads about an electric turbo for the FRS/BRZ that actually worked. They still around?

Yes they are legit. A member here has one on his FRS with proven dyno gains. The wait list for a kit for the 86 is pretty long already.

Sort of. Only instead of a tiny 12v motor they took the one out of your mom's vibrator. Sorry.

But really, it similar to an RC hobby motor. Highly precise and able to run up to 50-60k RPM.

Hiyooooooooo! And rim shot. That's shot not job lol I didn't see the "turbo" housing and I couldn't figure out how it made boost. The concept is simple enough. How easy would it be to up the electric motor size, eventually everyone wants more.

Apparently the bigger unit (TQ-25024V) can push ~400 CFM with 4000 Watts of power. Some serious power for sure. There is still concerns about longevity of the motor at those rpm and batteries are a pain from an engineering perspective.

However I hope this takes off since most people only want max power for merging so only in true race situations does this technology fall flat.

Electric turbo..? What witchcraft is this?!? Reminds me of those hilarious eBay kits.
