So I moved into my house 15 months ago and still have not been billed for my water usage through Enmax...I've called them about 4-5 times now (lost track as each time I've assumed it would be taken care of) and the second last time, about two months ago (back in end of Nov 2014), they told me they did not have my house's transponder number, so the last time I called back, the very next day to give it to them along with how many cubic metres of water I've used....haven't heard from them since and just got my latest bill (Jan 15, 2015), still no water charge....what is the longest anyone here has ever gone without paying?!? The girl on the phone said by law they can only charge me 12 months prior and will base it on an average household's use? Is this true? If so, I'm not going to bother calling again, it is ridiculous that I'm being honest with them and have called them so many times to report this issue (I also want to know just for budgeting concerns as I have never owned my own place before)...just want to see if anyone has heard of this before...

Btw....I have no clue how to find out but how much is a cubic metre of water cost in Calgary

Very strange. I would imagine your going to be getting a very big bill once they catch up

Well 1 year right is the most? I figure $50 per month is average? So a $600 bill? I got the money set aside just waiting for the bill lol..it's now been two billing cycles since I called in the number and Metre reading. ..

My bill for last month was 71$ for 9 m3 of water. Though I am in Airdrie and we have to pay a bit more since our water/waste water goes through Calgary but it gives you a rough idea.

Meter Reading Previous: 650 Current: 659
2015-01-06 WATER - FIXED RATE - 14.93$
2015-01-06 WATER - CONSUMPTION CHARGE - 10.79$
2015-01-06 SEWER - FIXED RATE - 17.57$
2015-01-06 SEWER - CONSUMPTION CHARGE - 14.43$
2015-01-06 WASTE MANAGEMENT FEE - 16.25$
2015-01-06 ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FEE - 6.45$
Current Charges
TOTAL DUE
$ 71.45

You're forgetting waste charges, which almost doubles that.

My August bill for water/waste was $110, my December bill was $70

$50/mo seems fairly reasonable as a budget price. We're two people.. waste a bit of water (laundry and dishwasher going non-stop and somewhat older appliances and we use ~10m3/mo and according to my last bill it was $32 + $34 (water + wastewater charges).

That includes $38/mo of service charges.

If you're concerned about it, why not simply call them?

They did something similar with me and electricity. Not 15 months mind you, but it took them I think 6-7 to start billing me. One day I got an enmax bill for north of $1000. When it does come, just call and work out a payment plan. I spread it out over a year and a bit, no interest (if I paid the bill on time, just showed up as another monthly charge) so there was no reason for me to pay it all right away. I think I made it something like $50 a month just cause that was the lowest they would do or something.

happened to one of my coworkers. over a year of water and was over a thousand. They had his account information and just took it out as an automatic withdrawal.

fuck that sucks. one of the reasons I never give my account information, if anything wrong happens it's hard to get the money back.

That's still the owners fault for not staying on top of it. If you haven't been paying a bill for a year it's your own fault. Even if someone screwed up and your not being billed for it right now you should put that ~80$ a month aside because it's not like it's magically going to go away.

also, doesn't it hurt your back? Getting, not giving. I know you're focused on the cock so it's a natural mistake for you. ;) Doesn't hurt my back at all. I have an open cube style desk in my home office so there's plenty of room under there.

I think he meant you're both getting AND giving. i.e. autofellatio, which is where the part of "hurts your back" comes in.
Props to you if that's your talent.
