Fargo the TV show is looking to rent classic vehicles to line the streets when shooting. $175 per shooting day.

Maybe some beyonders can get their vehicles featured.

Everyone I know with a classic car will be lined up to get the opportunity to drive it through salted winter roads

I don't know where exactly they are shooting, but there is no guarantee they use salt there. Maybe the snow will hold off and the roads will be bone dry :dunno:

$175/day? This isn't the US where for $175 you can live for a month comfortably. Calgarians won't even bend over for a 175 dollar bill :p This is baller town, they need to up that to $1750/day just to have anyone even begin to consider it.

Even if you're not a baller, it's not worth it. If you trailer your car there and back, you're out ~$150 for fuel for the 2 trips there and back, plus another $150 if you have to rent the trailer on two different days. If you value your time at all, that's 8 hours of your life just driving to Fort Macleod and back twice. I wonder how many shooting days they'd need the car for? Would have to be 10 or more to be even kinda worthwhile IMO.

Now if they pick up and drop off, and store it inside when not shooting, they can have the damned thing haha.

That's not that bad. Chance for your car to be on tv, you'll be the only one to drive it, their insurance covers it on set, looks like it'd be fun. If you're doing it for the money, then you're doing itnwrong.

Says $175 minimum, wonder what the criteria is for more?

I could drive my ramcharger down there for them to use a prop, but it would use 175.00 in fuel there and back
Maybe if gas goes down to 39.9 I'll think about it.

They should be filming in Saskatchewan, every city block has a few cars from that era. If they need a '56 T-Bird, I can hook them up with my Alberta political contacts. The number is 310-0000 toll-free.

Guess they're going to be filming the dad who's owns the coffee shop story if they're looking for that age
