How to find a car with a blown motor?

I'm on the slow hunt for a 02 to 05 forester xt or legacy gt wagon with a blown motor but it seams harder than I thought to find via Google. Do any of you have tips on getting one?

Kijiji? Post an ad looking for one with a blown motor? I've seen a few foresters on kijiji with engine problems for sale but rarely an XT model with a blown motor.

Lol, my wife would kick my Ass if a got a 7. She is fine with another toy as long as it can be our winter car as well.

On a similar note, where would one find an auction house that you can buy write offs or parts cars, etc. ? Its often cheaper to buy the whole car than just the part you are looking for.

Impact, Calgary Salvage etc. Salvage cars are not as cheap as one might think :nut: The prices just went through the roof in the past couple years.
