The Shell station on 32nd Ave near 12th street NE (by Minute Muffler) has run out of bronze and silver gas and is selling gold at 78.9c per liter (the bronze price). Not sure how long this will last.

Costco has premium for $0.799 for those not wanting to go to the NE

Costco lineups are retarded (for those not wanting to wait in line for an hour to save a few cents)

I'd pay 50c/L to not have to go there.

Not really, 2 nights ago, the 2 superstore gas stations differed by $0.07/L. That trip is 8.3kms x 2 (return) so 16.6kms.

My truck has 136L tank and gets about 14L/100k in the city

sooo...

136L x $0.07 = $9.52

so basically, by driving that little bit further, I save enough to buy my timmies for a couple days.

now, at that same time, Costco was 69.9, and that savings by going there would be $16.32.

sure you can factor in your time and shit, but I am factoring the money out of my pocket.

It is fine, why do you guys whine so much
If you go when the store is busy of course the gas station will be busy.

gas buddy.com/app

search for cheapest gas by price or location. Plan your trip, calculate your savings etc.

/thread.

(Although the OP is a nice tip about the premium going for the regular price)

Fair enough, and I was basing my comment on time moreso than money. 10 bucks every week really isn't that much.

I value my time (and not having the headache of fighting through traffic during busy times, which is usually when I get gas) far more than the cost of a couple trips to McDonald's (cause Timmy's coffee tastes like feet).

Yea for me i always gas up at shell. No ethanol :dunno:

But i do not ever drive out of my way to fuel up my car. I also don't read the prices on the pump. Live happier for it.

There's a shell by my parents house. Ill usually gas up when i go for dinner / a visit.

There is a centex a block from my house. If i get down to 30 km of range and am not planning to drive by a shell. I just fill up at the centex.

I don't like taking my wallet out of my pocket when I'm surrounded by uninsured immigrants with new driver signs in their windows.

I've always filled up at the same station, same pump for a few years. Only exception was when I was out of town for work.

Same. Usually when someone tells me about how gas is going down or up, it's actually new to me cause I have no idea what the pump price has been doing. Regardless of gas being 70c/L or 2.00/L I'm still going to drive everywhere, and I'm going to drive a fun car even if it gets poor mileage. Life's too short. haha

I just go to Costco. Haven't really bothered to look at the other places that offer rewards/incentives.

Used to go to Co-op but that $2 coupon you get is only redeemable instore. Would rather save money out of pocket instantly.

Immigrants are the once who actually make sure there insurance plus everything else is valid and upto date. They ussally are not the once living paycheck to paycheck. Better go and make sure your insurance is valid and you have funds in that wallet

The price of a fuel pump will far outweigh the savings. I wouldn't run my truck down 136 liters, that's just crazy. Plus it takes so long to fill.

Premium gas adds about 75hp to a base model beige Corolla.
