I fit pretty close to the TAG guy, makes sense since that's still my de facto brand. Hublot description doesn't fit me at all, I was into Hublots well before they blew up with the new crowd. 3 years ago that Hublot description would be completely different than it is today.

3 years ago you'd still be popping bottles in the club... and probably in a heavily branded shirt
but didnt you also pickup a PP? too bad you are ditching the big benz for the gla or it could of been the full circle of life between the 3 brands

I see a little of myself in Panerai dude, Tag dude, and IWC dude.
Had a good laugh at the Tag description, since I'm wearing a Carrera right now and Omega is my other favorite brand. Budget balling!

Based on the description, I see myself as JLC guy or a Patek.
In reality, I'm a Seiko guy.

I'm not really sure where I fit - even though I love mine, it's not the Rolex or Jaeger LeCoultre description. I've owned a few Omegas (still own one) but the Tag Heuer/Omega one doesn't really fit either. Interesting to read, in any case.

Better to own a real Fossil than a fake baller brand. I'm proud that I spent $82 on a Fossil. It looks good and I like it. One of my friend's dad has a "beater" Rolex that he wears skiing, "only" 48k lol. I can't take that sorta thing seriously, it's a device that tells the time for Christ's sake lol

I can't fathom justifying that kind of expense or not caring either. But I'd happily pay another $100 - $200 additional to get sapphire glass. Otherwise I think the designs are cool and the latest straps are actually very good quality - nice and soft leather similar to a Hirsch strap I have on a Victorinox (also cheapy but good quality).

I'm the Omega guy, mine sits in a drawer and is seldom worn. Previous to the Omega, I gave away my other expensive watch as it too was seldom used. The iPhone does it all now, and clocks seem to be everywhere. Traditional watches and ties just don't make any sense to me anymore. Watch < iPhone and do we really need to cover up the buttons on our shirts with a plus $100 piece of material?
I'm buying the iWatch though.

Most "watch people" don't buy watches to tell time.

I still prefer looking at my watch when I need to know what time it is, as opposed to constantly pulling my phone out. I make it a point to not look at my phone unless I'm getting a call or message.

I absolutely use my watch to tell time. It looks really unprofessional when someone is digging their phone out during a meeting just to check what time it is. Then keeps glancing at it, or hitting the unlock button thereafter.
Much easier to just glance at a watch when you're writing something down. :dunno:
The point I was trying to articulate is that for a lot of people, a watch isn't just an appliance to tell time. :)

That's because it's a terrible description of the brand owners. Here's a better one.
Rolex - You're Chinese.
Hublot - You're black.
TAG - You're white and cheap.
IWC - You're an investment banker.
Panerai - You're Italian, or from a region where you can be mistaken for being Italian. Disgustingly hairy arms are required.
Richard Mille - You're loaded and have no clue where to spend money
Patek - You're loaded and have a good idea where to spend money
JLC - You're white. Probably really old too.

I don't seem to fit into any of those. So...
Seiko | Sea-Gull | Vostok
Don't have money to spend on watches, but would still like to have interesting things.
Casio
Wants things that are cheap, works and takes a beating.
Waltham

Well if we're going to add other brands on the list, here's 2 more.
Nixon - Male club rat, unfortunately, always waiting in line to get in.
Chanel - Trophy wife.

So True. Tag Heuer also wears Omega. Those are the only 2 watches I own! A Tag and an omega!
Although I just wear my smart watch 80% of the time now...
What about us Swatch owners? :poosie:

Diesel - I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time. Likely owns a pair of "high-end" Beats by Dre headphones.
Casio/Citizen/Seiko - I just want something that works and looks clean Same people who drive Toyota/Honda.

Once again, the brown man has been marginalized. Also, it's interesting to think of you as a cheap mulatto.
