How about them Flames!
Winning 7-1 against the mighty Aves.

Really like the makeup of the team today this year.
Sutter is god!

Don't want to jinx it, but I just ordered my p****** tickets today!

Once were officially in, I like our chances of upsetting a team or too.

when playoff time comes

tickets for playoffs go to in priorites

Season ticket holders
game pack holders
and then
public sales.

yeah, in other words, the public is shit out of luck.
As a season ticket holder, it still took me a week to finally get through and finalize everything.
Their making everyone pre-purchase all 16 potential playoff games in advance.:dunno:

Hopefully we get in though.

I hate checking the standings everyday. A win can jump us from 8th to 6th. A lose can drop us from 6th-9th:eek:
It's sure exciting though.

Never expected to beat the Senators tonight.
Easily one of the best this season.

The crowd was going crazy tonight. Gotta love that Oliwa chant. Hope my voice comes back tomorrow.

Talk about Sutter’s trades.
Oliwa, Kipper, Nieminen, and Nilson. They won the game for us tonight.

In Sutter we Trust.

I think we have an honest chance against San Jose and Vancouver if we get in. San Jose=Sutters old team, should make for interesting series. Vancouver missing Bertuzzi=less scoring chances for Naslund as players don't have to cover Bertuzzi on that top line and because, i also think Calgary wants to beat Vancouver ALMOST as bad as it wants to beat Edmonton... damn i'm excited, Sutter is Amazing... GOOOOO FLAMES

Wasnt that back in 1994 or something like that? I remember that being the last flames playoff game that I watched.

Don't worry boys, Kiprusoff can steal a series so it doesn't matter who we play in the first round. Whether he can uphold the stellar play throughout is another thing.

Anyway, the Flames had some bad luck the last time they played the Sharks back in 93/94. We lost game one to a bad bounce and got stoned by Wade Flaherty who made 56 saves in OT in game 7. You know what? All this would have been an afterthought if the Flames chose Martin Brodeur with the 12th pick instead of Trevor Kidd. We would of won at least one Stanley cup with that guy in net!! haha:clap:

Please don't remind me!
I was at that game.
I can still remember like it was yesterday. Pavel Bure got the breakaway on Mike Vernon in double overtime. Made the deke and scored. Being on the opposite side of the building, I remembering jumping up and down for joy thinking Vernon saved it.
You can probably tell I'm still dramatized from that game.

but how do we know if brodeur woulda turned out well for us? i mean we didn't even have a goaltender coach.

and if kidd went else where and turned sensational then we'd be stuck in the same boat "kicking" ourselves saying we coulda had him over brodeur.

Hindsight is always 20/20.
There been way worst draft examples in the past.
At the time, Kidd was a really highly rated goaltender. He was the starting goaltender for the Junior Canadian team, while Potvin was his backup. Brodeur didn't even make the cut.

How about our last draft pick Dion Phaneuff? He was just rated as the top prospect in all of juniors. This guy is going to be awesome.

I'm a fan so I will voice my displeasures about the disfunctional scouting system of the past decade.

Rico Fata & Chris Dingman (Waste of high draft picks)
Tkachuk 6th overall instead of Samsonov?

Giguere was good so I will jump off that bandwagon now
Cory Stillman has more points than Iggy!
St.Louis is going to win the ARt Ross!

Anyway, enough ranting for now, I like what Sutter is doing.

oh man don't get me started on those dumb draft picks haha.
daniel tkaczuk...

but then again all draft picks are like really gambles. i mean look at theo fluery, he was like drafted 8th round. pavel was drafted in the 6th.

but i know what your saying. i mean if we had better scouts we would probably have better players.

stillman and st.louis just needed a change of atmosphere.
i mean st.louis was no good in calgary. and when he left he just found his offence. look at savard, he wasn't doing to well in calgary, he just needed new linemates and a diffrent coach.

u have to analyze the situation. blazers already had paxson and superstar drexler as the shooting gaurds, it would be retarted for them to pick jordan and he would of never avged those numbers he did as a blazer cuz he would have to compete with those for time. Also, his addition would of possibly destroyed team chemistry. What they needed was a center to complete the lineup thats why they chose bowie. Blazers back then had a stacked lineup, what they did made sense at the time. So you can't really call them stupid or anyting.

1st overall was Hakeem, so nothing wrong there as he's a hall of famer.

And, off topic, but what is up with Messier only getting 2 games for his spear, and Belak getting 8??? Messier should have got at least 6, but guess they're going back to star treatment again...

Belak is a repeat offender though. Messier hasn't been suspended for while (if ever?)...

I still think he should have gotten more though.

Messier has been suspended 4-5 different times in his loooooong career. The last one that I can remember was during 96/97 season when he got suspended for slamming someone's head into the boards (hitting from behind). I do remember him being suspended for stick incidents prior to that including knocking out some teeth from another player (can't remember who).

Star treatment...maybe...maybe not.
