Who still has their car from "Back in the day"?

Chatting with Ek2.0 the other day and I was thinking about who still has their car from when Beyond and forums prior to Beyond started. There are still a few of us out there, Gpomps civic comes to mind as well.

Please post if you still have it, what it is, and a pic or two!

Have you given up on it and is it sitting in your garage missing parts or do you still drive it?

I was getting nostalgic and thought about buying my first truck back from the guy I sold it to. Turns out he took whatever parts he needed, and then cut it in half and turned it into a trailer. So that's the end of that.

Same here. Still have my 1st brand new car from May 2002.
I use it as my winter beater / bad weather vehicle.
Nothing is wrong with it and it runs great with 135k on it.
No point of selling now with such a low market value.

I still have my supercharged 00 Prelude, love that car although I only drive it 5 or 6 days a year. I'll probably dump a bunch of money into it again one day and then let it continue to sit! :rofl:

I don't see that point in selling it after having it for 14 years, it'll just be one of those things that moves with me and gets little to no use!

Oh yea shit, forgot about yours. I'll have to dig up a bunch of pictures of the cars posted above when I get home. Have them all saved somewhere.

I put a whole 500km's on my car last year. Had to take it for a couple decent rips near the end of last summer to get the old gas out of the tank so I could at least fill if up with a new tank before storage :rofl:

First car was a 82 accord with over 400km's on it, I don't want that back. Next car was a 94 civic si that I bought new and sold just a few years ago. It served me well and I wasted a bit of money playing around with turbos and ended up blowing the engine and then replacing it with a b16a g2 which drove well. Sold it to a uncle who let it sit in his garage for a couple of years because he didn't know how to drive a standard so then he sold it to his neighbor. It was fun but I don't really care to have it back.

My first car was a 1997 240SX, kitted and on coils. I always wanted to swap an RB25 into it but never had the coin back then. I wish I still had it, sold it back in 2004.

That being said my '99 4Runner was bought new by my family, and I still have it as a winter daily.

962 Kid is partly correct. I no longer own the car but it's still in my garage. The engine is out and almost completely tore down. The new owner is enthusiastic about getting a motor put in over the next few months. Hopefully he can have it back on the road again soon.

It's the car that caught gpomp's eyes one day in 2003 (albeit we went to Jr. High together) who ended up recruiting me to this unknown beyond.ca forum at the time and got me into the whole modding bug. Guess I'm almost OG? :dunno: Anyway, I've owned the car since 2002 - bought it from my mom who bought it brand new in 1993. When I took it over from her, the engine was burning 1-qt of oil/month and all the suspension was shot. Between engine swaps, a full mechanical rebuild, adding "luxuries" such as power steering, AC, power windows/mirrors, etc. later (and some 90% of my summer jobs' income), here she was back in her hayday only a few years ago :

How much damage did the engine have? I never tire it down after it blew, just sold it straight to you. I always suspected rod bearing failure. It let go under decel at 30km/h in rush hour traffic haha.

It was at the shop 2 years ago to get the engine installed. The fenders were done but no paint.

My first car, before beyond started and during its breastfeeding years, was a '95 dodge neon, lapis blue, 4-door. It went through various embarassing stages..

George, better known on these forums as old 'riceeater', bought the car sometime in the early 2000's and totaled it soon thereafter.

Needless to say I moved up to Phuqu's flamed out neon R/T. A beautiful, fun, and reliable car that I wouldn't hesitate to get back.. if I didn't sell it to a country hick in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. The car is probably sitting somewhere rusting away :(.
