Does anyone know where I can find some in Calgary? Called up community foods and checked out co-op and safeway and couldn't find anything.

Is this something they only sell in the states?

*note it's no sugar ADDED not sugar free. You'll probably have to read the label to see if it suits your needs

In Canada we are very strict as to what you can call Maple Syrup due to in the past some people trying to pass off artificial maple flavor mixed with sugar and water as Maple Syrup. So my guess is that you likely won't be able to find anything labeled as Maple Syrup whilst being sugar free simply due to regulations in place in Canada. If someone was to call it Maple Syrup they would likely be found to be in violation of the labeling laws and have their inventory seized/destroyed.

That sounds disgusting.

Maple syrup is meant to contain sugar. After all it is made of natural sugars.

Anything else is just artificially flavoured and artificially sweetened brown chemical goo.

:werd: all maple syrup in Canada is pure maple syrup. There isn't any sugar added. It's just what you get out of the tree boiled down into syrup. But it's syrup so it's pretty much pure natural sugar.

Regulations here (http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/C.R.C.,_c._289/)

These seems to be the best choice right now. I'm going to be making my own protein/energy bars cause I wasn't able to find ones that are peanut free. The recipe I found asks for sugar free maple syrup but this will have to do.
