Hit and Run: 2014 White Escape Titanium @ Beaconl Hill

Thank you to the asshole who couldn't park their car next to our 2014 White Ford Escape Titanium today at Beacon Hill. The car is only one year old and now we have a scraped rear bumper and cracked paint. Go learn how to drive and next time you damage someone else's property, leave a note and own up to it.

Sorry to hear, I hope lightning strikes anyone who hits-n-run people. We have a year old MDX as well and two weeks ago someone backed into our parked vehicle and we now have a cracked grill and scratched front bumper. I've been driving for about 20 years now and have never backed into anyone or hit any cars while parking and I have never had a backup camera up until last year because the MDX came with one.

I sat and watched a half ton do a hit and run at the local Tim's. She was see-sawing back and forth (in what WAS a very easy parking job) to get in. I was watching to see how stupid the waters run. She damages the side and rear corner of the Honda on her right and her truck as well. She gets out like nothing happened, walks into Tim's, lines up (a couple of minutes) and orders her afternoon addiction. Jumps into her damaged truck (passenger side was very, very tight) and again see-saws to get out. A regular Wilma Flintstone driver.

I figured she was coming in to find the owner, thought I'd give her the opportunity to do right. Nope. I asked at the front counter (saw the Honda there previously a few times) and a Tim's employee owned it. I gave the Honda owner the plate number, model and my contact information. Never heard anything.

Are people so medicated they don't notice these things?

Anyway... sorry to know this happened. Wow. With some insurance companies, you can claim this as an "act of vandalism" to which you just pay the deductible. With that the damage will be fixed and surprisingly, your premium s won't go up as this isn't an "at fault" claim. Just ask Masked bandit if you don't believe me. ;)

My escalade has been hit 3 times in parking lots...1st one was my second day owning it, smashed bumper into body and wrecked both,Costco parking lot. 2nd one was sobeys, they hit the front and screwed up the front bumper, don't know how you hit the front. 3rd they hit the rear opposite side as the 1st one and smashed that bumper into the body, and broke our backup sensors. Not a single note, witness note, anything. I've never hit a parked car in my life.

I have one in my daily driver, but we don't have one in the Escape.

I don't drive the escape daily so it wouldn't have been targeted because I look like Scat.
