I should usually be able to do this by myself except that the clearance between our faucet and the cabinet wall is about an inch. Any body know of some one reliable?

If you're still interested in doing it yourself you can always pick up a telescopic basin wrench, Ridged makes a nice one, it would make getting the mounting nuts off on the bottom of the faucet easier.

Yeah i think my buddy was telling me about this tool last night, he said they were pretty pricey though so I will look into it.

Is the faucet mounted right onto the countertop or does it go through holes in the sink? Sometimes you can remove the sink to get at everything and install the new faucet that way.

Those basin wrenches are around $20 +/- at most places like HD, Lowes air Rona.

Yeah there was a hole. I picked up the wrench and a new faucet today. Ended up cutting the old hose and just using an automotive socket set to remove the nuts. The basin wrench didn't fit the area anyway. Took 10 mins to remove it and 15 mins to install the new one.
