So rather than take over the other post. I screwed up on a DIY outdoor couch a bit. From the pic you can see the supports inside the seat. I completed the bench with 5/4 x 6 x 10 lengths of plank running the length of the bench.
The problem is, the cedar shrank. So now there are gaps, which I should have expected but didn't really expect that large of a gap.
It looks fine and will be covered by cushions, but what I don't want is a wasp nest in my outdoor sectional. So, I'm looking for real world experience from someone that can recommend an outdoor expandable wood filler for cedar that can take stain. Like dap for cedar.
If anyone is interested, I can pass over the sketchup files.
