Can someone tell me how I fix this and what parts are needed? Im not really sure how this happened. I was driving down the highway and went to drop from 5th to 4th to pass and it just came out of the pivot location. I was not being overly rough with it, maybe a tad bit aggressive but definitely didnt slam it.

any help would be great.

Thanks

Travis

Pop it back into the socket hole, it's essentially just a ball joint that came out due to the plastic socket wearing out. You should replace it soon though or it'll happen again but you should be able to pop it back and drive carefully with it.

What is the part called? Can I get it online? I'll just get it replaced now.

For now tho. Should I have to force it in?. When ever u place it in it just falls out. Or should it clip in with some force?

Yes it should need some force to go it. Try a rubber mallet. I think there should be a c clip to apply tension but not all subarus have it.

subaruparts.com is a good place for parts online.

Print that out and bring it to Subaru and tell them you need #14. #11 and #14 might need to be bought together, I recommend changing both.
