Mods, please let me know if this can only be posted in the FS forum. I'd prefer to offer it up for sale to Edmonton/Calgary club members to go to a good home before I post it on Kijiji and in the regular FS forums.
• Black 1990 G-Limited MR2 (fixed roof, power mirrors/fogs, pw/pdl)
• 5 speed (great condition, no grinds, shifts smoothly)
• 2.0L 3SGE (blown motor) - started clacking on track and at minimum needs a rebuild, and possibly an engine swap. I was planning a 1MZ V6 swap, and can include a custom 1MZ engine mount for $150 from Woodsport in the U.K.
• 16" Enkei RP-01 wheels (can remove from sale for lower price)
• Damaged fender from a cabbie hitting it (and then running - pic of damage included)
Asking price: $1,900
Car has been sitting at a friend's acreage just North of Edmonton since the fall of 2014, but does run and drive - it just sounds like a washing machine with rocks in it. OOP'd already so it could be as simple as rebuilding the current motor, or take this as a perfect platform for a Chump Car dominating future race car.
