K painting my car soon. Its white and i want to paint it black. Im gettin the door jams painted as well. Now i need to find a nice black paint. Anybody know any codes to a black paint with a nice pearl already in it. And do you guys think $1600 is a good price for the whole paint job, with door jams, and rust removal, and install my body kit.

1600 is kinda cheep... so dont expect much... espically with black.
For a super deep black, RM D403 with RM DC5300 Clear, let it dry 2 weeks, and wet sand polish the whole car... you will love it.. but you will also be in the 5k range to have done right with decent paint

it all depends on who is doing it

i think that is a good deal considering they are doing the rust and jams and putting the body kit on

1600 for labour is a great price!! I am assuming that you are going under the table. If not and you are getting this doen at a shop 1600 seems cheap and watch out for the heap loads of bizondo covering the spots where the rust was "removed" .

I dunno, 1600 is a bit cheap.

It's good for a scuff and paint job. But rust repair? How much rust is on your car? And body work?

Very curious, as many shops just slap a skiff of bondo on there and that's that.

it's 1600 for labour by the sounds of it. which translates to a 2700 dollar paint job once most o fthe materials are purchased. which is average. As long as your involved with the process so he can't screw you over with bondo and bad rust repair then who cares if it's cheap you saved yourself a lot of money. Also maybe the guy is just a nice guy who does clean work looking to make a portfolio or just enjoys working on cars!!! I'm living proof of it I am doing the prep/bodywork on a guys mercedes for 350 dollars because I love to do it and he's a good guy. don't knock the deal

dont cheap out when it comes to fixing rust. Maybe consider a white colour, so it will match your engine bay. There are a lot of nice "whites"
