Flying the Flag - are you?

Mine's from the 2004 Cup run, a little bit frayed at the edges but appears to be strong enough for another run - been up for a bit now.

Only saw one other vehicle with a flag in all my travels on Friday...

Couldn't find my 2004s so I bought a couple from canadian tire. They are up on both cars now :)

Frameless windows. Would fall off every time i open the door.

Not sure if i would regardless though...

I like the flames alot, but i like my car more

Those flags damaged the paint a bit on my 944. And it's fucking loud going 100. I love the Flames, but I love my cars more.

I would CONSIDER rocking a plate frame for the playoffs maybe but yea the flags are more trouble then they are worth.

Nothing like pre-cracking your window for something to break in

Finished vinyl wrapping the whole car last night. Flaming C's on the hood, doors, roof and trunk.

Just kidding.

after loosing a few on the road because I crack open the wrong window, I gave up on them.

However, if I had the funds, I would be willing to wrap the tailgate on my truck. Actually I thought Rage2 was going to do that already with a Beyond wrap or something. Drunken talk from the anniversary meet.

I thought about wrapping the BS in Red with Flames logos for the playoff run. But then I realized I have to rewrap the car afterwards, and it'll cost me $10k+ in total. So ya, not worth it.

That sure would have been a sight!

Maybe get the club to chip in for sponsorship dollars

Got to wonder what kind if wimpy ass windows did you have in your vehicle? Cheap Chinese glass maybe - not very baller.

I was using the phrase "cracking a window" to refer to leaving the window open a crack. Makes it much easier for someone to hook onto the latch mechanism for the door with a coathanger etc.

But nice try

Why do you need to crack the window for a flag? Unless you have frameless windows, otherwise the flag mount just sits in the upper window rail.

Who uses a coat-hanger to steal cars anymore

Car and bike have flags flying.

This is the best part of having a car I don't overly care about... haha.

I will probably fly one off the Pinto on Friday. I live in enemy territory though :drama:

Interior BC? You're likely to find your windows and mirrors smashed.

I had no idea there was so much animosity towards "red plates" until I wrote off a car in the interior last summer. By the time I returned with an RCMP member a shirtless dude with a rat-tail and flatbed had already dragged it into the woods "because a nice little car like that with red plates won't last too long 'round here.."

The new flags work great. Tested them extensively to make sure it doesn't damage the car. Pretty quiet going 160 too! Threw them on for Game 6.

Kinda pricey at $20 a pop.

2x$20 is expensive for flags when you've dropped $100k+ on the car you are installing them on. :bigpimp:

Big downside to having indoor parking downtown for work, my truck is too tall to have the flag installed on it. :bullshit:

Have the same problem with my garage at home. I have two flags and went to put them on only to realize they won't clear the door on the way in or out :( I'd have to put them on and take them off all the time.
