View Full Version : Which Car To Get? *Another One of These Threads*

Looking to purchase my first brand new car soon in the next few months. I think I have narrowed it down to either a 15 Subaru WRX Sport Package or the MY16 if there is one. But I'm still un-decided. Looking for input on whats the best bang for buck car I should be getting. My previous cars have been Nissans from my 93 240sx Summer and 02 Pathfinder Winter/Daily. So I may be looking for an all-around vehicle to replace both.

Side note, I work for Mercedes-Benz so not sure what employee pricing is on vehicles but the C450 AMG Sport caught my eye.

Requirements:
Must be brand new 15-16 MY
Needs to be 4 door sports sedan
Prefer AWD so it can be winter driven
Turbo engine ideally or something with decent amount of HP 260+
High $30K Low $40K Budget

Seen the new Lexus IS350 and the Infiniti Q50 on the road and quite nice but out of my budget.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Do you need a new vehicle right away?
If not, maybe wait until 2016. Seems like there's some interesting vehicles coming out...

If right now...
Luxury or sport?
sport - wrx
luxury - ask your work what the discount is.

I'd be looking at what Honda does with there civic and see what Acura comes out with.

Other than that id get a gti again, I wouldn't have sold mine if it was a 4 door. Out the door for a gti will be 36-38k a golf r will be 45k.

THIS

only because you're also considering luxury vehicles, and the plastic subaru uses for it's interiors feels cheap.

1- Veloster Turbo
2- Veloster Turbo
3- Veloster Turbo
4- Normal Veloster
5- Golf R - Fun, comfortable, well built, good materials and probably won't rattle like the subaru.

C450 would be great but won't that be like $70k?

Ya c450 will run 70K easy. getting that to 40K would be a hell of a discount.

It is just more practical to have and makes winter easier. Ie out accelerate everyone in rushour. My next car will be AWD for sure after having driven RWD and FWD only.

Acura TLX SH-AWD. Perhaps the V6 alleviates the need for a turbo engine?

I've never had a problem Winter driving with fwd. people do seem to love awd though. Even if half of the systems out there are no better than 2wd.

I'm not sure if that'll be in his budget after dealership mark ups.
Very curious to see what the cost of them end up being...

Yeah, limited amounts for NA. I fear they'll be wicked expensive.

Talked to my GM today. Said employee pricing on vehicles is cost + $500. But only applies on non-AMG vehicles :banghead: :banghead: , no GL's and no S-Classes.

How much will the C450 run? I guess even an optioned out C400 is okay. But I needs da powerrrrr
