There is a 2 part animated movie that pulls this off already. If you like comic books then you should watch " The Dark Knight Returns" part 1 and 2. I thought they did an awesome job. As long as its a new storyline and follows the dark of the Bat and the good of the superman I think it will be awesome.

I think more people were thinking .. "WTF" when they cast Heath for the Joker due to roles he had been in before.

Casting Affleck as Batman is completely different than Heath as the Joker. We all know that Affleck can't act his way out of a bag and being that he was piss poor in Daredevil (either for him being the actor or directors direction) it has made people be very weary of him in another role of this sort.

There is rumors on the internet Doomsday is hinted at (would make sense about the Bunker Superman is gliding down into since Doomsday was found in a comet if I recall) - So this may be a good introduction of all these super heroes converging on earth (Green lantern is supposed to make a cameo at the end for the reboot) to get ready for the threat that is doomsday and then cut to black.

This movie will arguably be the most important movie in the next year or two. Star Wars has it's fans, granted most fans are approaching the new movies with a cautious optimism, with what we saw from Star Trek we'll likely be more than happy.

Batman v Superman NEEDS to do well or DC movies are pretty much done.

You're forgetting the Government sees Batman as a threat to their authority (essentially they don't like being shown up). It becomes evident after Russia fires a nuke at whatever island the US and Russia are fighting over, which Superman is able to deflect but the EMP disables all of the US. The entire country falls into anarchy, but Batman is able to rally the citizens and Gotham becomes the only violence-free centre in the country.

The Government sees this as an embarrassment (who needs the Government to keep you safe when you have Batman?) and sends Superman to kill him.

I'm very satisfied with how they are tying batman into it (seeing metropolis get destroyed/being there). So many people bitched about Superman causing so much destruction in this movie. If superman tried to bring the fight somewhere less populated , zod would have dragged it right back into the city

Zod knew superman cared about the humans and likely felt they were a distraction for superman , making him hold back

It's no question superman , if unleashed , could destroy our world with a single punch , it's why he holds back so much and only uses enough force to stop whatever he's facing

Besides this will be a good tie in for batman vs superman - people will wonder "how can somebody so powerful be controlled when he could destroy us all?"

I like it when batman is forced to be irrational and make choices which always tend to be selfish at the core. Dark Knight was really entertaining for this. The TV shows never let on to his flawed side like the later movies did. Sadly I was a Spiderman Comic book reader so I missed a lot of the real stories.

Suicide Squad looks much better than I had first perceived. Should be great to help develop characters in the main story as well.

That's the thing with the newer movies , I don't feel like in any Marvel movie there is ever any real danger.
