I bought a backyard playset for the kids, but with some things happening at work I don't have the time on the weekend to put this thing together. The instructions say it would take 2 people 10 hours to build it.

Anyone hired someone for this type of work? Any recommendations on someone who could do this for a reasonable rate? I'm thinking this is a good job for a summer student but I also don't want a couple of meat heads putting this together because after all, my kids will be playing on it so just want to make sure the job is done right.

Spikers hourly rate is pretty reasonable.

spikerS can probably get it assembled by staring at it.

20 hrs of labour is likely the amount of time it would take 2 completely unskilled, never used a drill before type of people to put it together... I put one together a few years ago that suggested the same amount of time. I put it together by myself in 5.5 hours... My wife assisted me twice for 5 mins each time for the couple things that actually required 2 people.

I have one in my back yard for my kids as well and the instructions stated that it would take 2 people 8 hours to put it together. my cousin and I did it in about 6 while taking our time.

If the playset heard that spikerS was on his way over, it would jump out of the box and put itself together.

yeah, spikers should be able to help out. I think he might have some free time this weekend after giving Mike Holmes some pointers.
