A friend brought a bottle of wine back from France, specifically the Rhone region which I seem to really favour. It's labelled La Fourmone Vacqueyras 2006. Whether it's expensive or not I have no idea but I did like it.

Is there somewhere to search for who carries which brands of wine?

Lastly, if you know of a red you like from Rhone and can get it locally I'd love to try it!

liquorconnect.com shows every bottle/can/keg/cask of alchohol sold in Alberta, and where it was/is sold.

Looks like La Fourmone has never been sold here though.

I had a case of St-Emilion Bordeaux Grand Cru shipped back to Calgary last time I was there. There are wine brokers there who will arrange it all for you and it is 100% legit. Obviously it isn't overly cheap, but whether you buy it from someone else who has done it or you do it for yourself, those costs are included. French wines are awesome!
