I had the pleasure of seeing him at the Jubilee years ago. He really owned the room. Another legend gone. RIP

Lost two legendary artists lately... May their music continue to bring joy and inspiration to all.

It's only been a few years since I saw him, it was outstanding. He sat down and played and sang like a man half his age. His band, it was like being in a time machine. Consummate professionals, all class. You don't see that kind of thing anymore.

Glad I had the opportunity, there will never be another like him.

You'll come to regret not seeing these blues gurus live, don't make some lame ass excuse again going forward. Even if you think you are not into the genre, you will be after the show. Losing the giants, something we'll never see again.

My lame ass first exposure to BB King was in Toronto at the Toronto Film Festival, the U2 documentary Rattle and Hum was premiering, it was one of the seven movies I saw that day and I recall none of the other six. I was there for a young U2, when I heard the guitar stamp and roar of a voice from BB King, it was all BB King.

RIP

Heard about this on CBC this morning. Sounded like he passed peacefully at home at the age of 89.

What a life he had. Will be missed.
