Seems to be the consensus of about 1/3rd of Texans when a massive "military drill exercise" in the area will be starting next month. Another 1/3rd seem to think NO, and another third - don't really understand the question (They seem to think that Texas is a part of the USA, how crazy is that - lol)

I like how they plan on simulating an insurgent pocket from Socal. Which is pretty much exactly what I would be thinking.

Texan's really get riled up when they think their rights are being infringed. The Waco siege REALLY pissed them off, some more than others, but they really are defensive and paranoid.

Whenever I watch news from southern United States it makes me grateful for the small society problems we have in comparison.

The US military will be seriously under armed compared to Texans.

I find it hilarious that they're even asking this question. Some Americans are just :nut:

Have Governator Ahrnold shooting at Walker Texas Ranger, and that scenario would be about right.

What I truely think is pissing off Texas is that they are not the invading force in this exercise, but the defending force. Having a Texan being shot at *before* shooting back - is just plain UnTexan.

Went down to Austin to visit my wifes family a few years back. Dinner talk consisted of how they need to seperate and become (or return to depending who was talking) being their own country. The women were all "Daughters of Texas" or some shit and the one guy (a cousin) was way fucking madder than seperatist Quebecers! To the point where his dad apologised for his son for being a "a little right of Atilla the Hun"! I just about peed myself laughing right there! Did a good job of defusing the tension at the table...

Madder then a separatist quebecer? That's impossible

Invasion began this morning.

"Homeland Eradication of Local Militants" - Conspiracy!

Kind of sad that one has to rely on Russia Today because of the US media moritoria on this exercise. Land of free food, not free speech or media.

Historically, the US civil war was far more damaging to local US soil than WWI and WWII combined.

What's the difference between a separatist Quebecer and a separatist Texan?

A Texan doesn't want the U.S. to pay his bills when he leaves the table, he'll god damn well take care of himself and be happy to do it.
